During my Media Design exam, we were tasked with developing a corporate identity for the chocolate brand Xocoa. This had to include a logo, advertisement, packaging, and a landing page, among other elements. If you wanted to present more, you were allowed to do so. Additionally, we had to conduct research.
The goal was to raise awareness about the continued existence of slave labor on cocoa plantations. Xocoa is fighting against this, and they produce Fairtrade chocolate. This message had to be clear. Based on this, I created the slogan "Little joy for all." "Little" refers to the small pieces of chocolate and the contribution they represent. "Joy" symbolizes people and the planet, and "For all" signifies that it's for everyone – both chocolate enthusiasts and the hard workers on the plantations.
Furthermore, I aimed to infuse my corporate identity with a sense of warmth and care. A soft font combined with a hand-drawn heart conveys the idea that Xocoa takes care of people.
In the end, I concluded this exam with a final grade of 9.
